The FitSpine is the highest grossing Inversion table they have ever sold. I spent a lot of time in Taipei Taiwan and China ensuring our inversion tables were QC according to our procedure and assessing the packaging for the consumers first experience with the table.
The competition had been knocking off our old designs for years. Using lower quality materials and fewer welding points to undercut our prices.
Originally these steps were in the instruction manual and on the inside of the packaging, hidden from clear view. I pushed to clearly define the steps to ensure the correct height, inversion angle with limitation strap, and locking the users ankles into the footing were unmissable by the friend who had not seen the instruction manual.
The design inspiration started here. The owner wanted to build a minimal looking table and referenced a guitar. I was able to encourage him to add the "shoulder blades" bc of the lack of security the user felt with this design.
A single page of hand sketches for various components. The most Critical is the platform, which had not been a component of any previous table in their history. This innovation gave the user a clear location to stand when engaging with or stepping away from the table.
Our manufacturer finalized all CAD for tooling design. I provided the class A surface development for them to start from in Rhinoceros 3D.
